Privacy Policy

At Radahost we are committed to safeguarding your privacy and protecting your personal information. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: July 2026

Section 01

Information we collect

Personal information
Name, email address, phone number, company name, and billing and payment details (M-Pesa, PayPal, Pesapal, cards).
Technical data
IP address, browser type, operating system, approximate (country-level) location and website usage information.
Cookies & browser storage
Used to keep the site working and to remember your preferences. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website.

Section 02

How we use your information

  • To provide and manage hosting, web design, SEO and related services.
  • To communicate updates, invoices and promotions.
  • To improve website functionality and troubleshoot issues.
  • To display prices in your local currency and to prevent abuse of our online tools.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

Section 03

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Trusted service providers strictly necessary to deliver our services (for example payment processors, domain registries and hosting partners).
  • Legal authorities, where required by law.

Section 04

Data security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS/SSL), secure servers and access controls to protect your personal data. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it in order to deliver or support your service.

Section 05

Data retention

Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the service or to satisfy legal, accounting and billing obligations. After that it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Section 06

Your rights

Under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 — and equivalent laws such as the UK/EU GDPR where they apply to you — you may:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your data (see the next section).
  • Object to, or ask us to restrict, processing.
  • Request data portability.

To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected].

Section 07

Data deletion requests

To request deletion of your personal data:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”.
  • Provide your account details (email address and domain).
  • Verify your identity through our support process.

We will delete your data within 14 business days, unless legal or billing obligations require us to retain some of it. Full details are in our Data Deletion Policy.

Section 08

Location & currency detection

So that we can show prices in your local currency (KES within Kenya, USD elsewhere), we determine the country associated with your IP address.

  • The lookup runs on our own servers against a locally-stored geolocation database. Your IP address is never sent to a third-party geolocation service.
  • We keep a short-lived record of your IP address and the resolved country for up to 30 days, solely to avoid repeating the lookup on every page you view.
  • We also keep brief IP records in order to rate-limit our domain search and admin login forms and prevent abuse.
  • We detect country only — never your precise location, street address or identity.
  • You can override the detected currency at any time using the currency switcher in the top bar.

When you use our domain availability search, the domain name you type is sent to the public RDAP registry network so that availability can be checked. No personal information is included in that lookup.

Section 09

International data transfers

Your data may be stored or processed on servers located in different countries, with appropriate safeguards in place to protect it to the standard required by the Kenya Data Protection Act.

Section 11

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
